When Bespoke May Not Be Necessary
If you are okay with a hacked around fix. If space is not an issue, the regular wardrobe would offer adequate storage as well.
When budget is the priority. Of course, depending on your needs (stop gap guest room/rental/future renovation) but this is the simpler option.
Quick rule of thumb
If your alcove measurements are a few millimetres different from top to bottom, for the cleanest results and less day-to-day irritations such as sticking or rubbing – bespoke doors often make the most sense.
