10. Lisbon, Portugal: £25.99
When to book
The cost of your hire company will depend a little upon when you book. Many people leave hiring a car until just a few days before their holiday; however, if travelling in Italy or Spain, research suggests making your booking at least a week in advance. In France, the recommendation is two weeks in advance.
Other costs
