The Buildings of Bristol
Bristol is one of the foremost cities in the southwest. It is well known for its diverse culture and has produced many talented artists and musicians over the years. It has also had something of a troubled past being linked to the slave trade as a central Port bringing enslaved people in. The architecture of Bristol reflects much of this diversity but also the traditional heritage and wealth that trade has brought to it. Its location at the top of the Bristol Channel made it the perfect place for goods to enter the country rather than ships making the longer journey around the English Channel to Southampton, Portsmouth, and London.
