Give your windows some TLC

Windows are usually one of the more neglected parts of a property over the winter months. Nobody wants to clean them in the cold and the rain, so spring is the best time to wipe them down and check for any scratches or small cracks caused by frost. This is also a good opportunity to tackle any fogging which might have appeared on the double glazing, and get individual panels replaced or repaired.

Make sure your pathways are safe

It might not be immediately obvious, but pathways will accumulate moss and slime during the winter, especially if they’re in the shade. This can equate to a somewhat dangerous and slippery environment, and the last thing you want is a fall just as you start to use your garden again. Fortunately, this problem is easily resolved with a jet wash. Hose down the pathways and then apply a pathway wash to keep them in good condition all through the season. The same applies to patios, steps – any area that you walk across frequently, but might have become slippery over the winter. Be careful when you do this, and always watch your step.

Tame the garden

This can lead to problems with damp, so it’s important to paint over the gaps and keep your property secure.
