How to Learn More About Judaism

A course or book on Judaism can give you a solid overview of the faith, its founding texts, and its oral law. You’ll also learn about Jewish holidays, beliefs about the world, and the afterlife. Moreover, you’ll learn about Jewish customs and traditions, such as Purim, Hanukkah, and the high holy days. And, of course, you’ll learn about the Sabbat, too.

The Hebrew Bible, or Tanakh, is an important part of Jewish faith. Although it contains several ancient texts, it also includes oral tradition. Later texts reflect this oral tradition. The five books of Moses are also included in the Christian Bible. Judaism is the tenth largest religion in the world, with between 14 to 17 million adherents. But there’s more to learn about Judaism than just its history.

A basic understanding of the religion will enable you to make a meaningful connection with it. Moreover, the Jewish faith has a deep historical and philosophical foundation. For example, it has been a religion since ancient times, and most Jews believe in a single God, which communicates through prophets. In addition, Jews believe in one God, who has chosen them for a special relationship with His people.
